Our tutors are knowledgeable, confident in their subject areas, and bring a friendly, reliable, and professional presence to every session.
We look for tutors who are not just skilled—but also creative, patient, encouraging, and clear in how they teach.
Some also use AI thoughtfully to support learning, always as a tool, never a shortcut. Our tutors use technology to strengthen, not replace, the learning process.

D. has his Masters of Science in Chemistry from UBC and has tutored chemistry, physics and math since 2006. He started with PD Plus in 2007 and our customers rave about him as he is such a wonderful person and tutor. He is kind, reliable, friendly, engaging, and has he has been with a few of our students for more than 8 years (they don’t want to let him go so keep him even as their children move on to university!) He is always punctual, well -dressed, polite, prepared and professional. D. is a fantastic tutor... my son has retained the material well and recently earned 100% on his math final.
E. She holds a BA in Gender, Race, Sexuality, and Social Justice from UBC and began her BEd in 2023. She has been tutoring since 2019, specializing in all elementary subjects, with experience supporting students with ADHD, dyslexia, and ELL. Known for her patience and adaptability, E. is described by families as caring, fun, and trustworthy. Teachers and parents praise her strong relationship-building skills, organization, and ability to make learning engaging and enjoyable.
G. has a Bachelor of Science as well as his Masters and PhD in Physics. He has 20 years of experience tutoring math, physics chemistry (including university, AP and IB students). Our students say, "he is smart, lively and funny. He is extremely detail-oriented and explains things really well using simple examples to make difficult concepts relatable." OUR DIRECTOR
Angela has her BA in Economics from Western University and her Diploma in Education (TESOL) from UBC.
While tutoring ELL students in West Vancouver, she noticed many needed broader academic support. In 2003, PD Plus was born.
OUR CO-DIRECTOR
Trinity has her B.F.A. from Emily Carr, Diploma in Life Skills Coaching, (L.S.T.C.), and a Diploma in Fine Arts from Langara College.
She has brought her experience as an Indigenous Life Skills Coach, S.O.I. Advanced Trainer, and former education business owner into the heart of PD Plus.
